Vintage Bag

This leather bag used to belong to my granny. It has been in frequent use but it’s still as good as new. I can’t help thinking of my granny when I stroll around the town carrying my tiny essentials inside this bag. The idea of having something my granny loved to bits makes me extremely happy, and I feel connected with my roots and my family’s history.

Hon, Not That I Want to Pressure You

...but I have found the perfect ring. The One Ring.

It’s kooky, it’s flamboyant, it’s eye-catching and it’s fun. If you plan to buy me something nice for our five-year anniversary, or – dare I say – pop the question, just check out Etsy and discomedusa designs.

Kiss Kiss! Love ya!

...and lots of tongue-in-cheek smilies.

Matryoshka Shoes

Isn’t Etsy the greatest?! If you are blessed with a wee foot size, then hurry up and get these babies before someone else does. Gorgeous Matryoshka Shoes and other customised shoes from Hippy of Doom.

Emilia

At the moment I’m very much into vintage ceramics manufactured by Arabia, “the trailblazer in modern Finnish design” as they so elaborately put it. I’m especially interested in highly sought after range Emilia, which was in production from 1949 to 1964. Designed by Raija Uosikkinen, the range features charming black on white illustrations such as the ones seen in the photos.

Although this range is popular among collectors, it is relatively easy to get – if you are willing to pay, that is. A breakfast set with a cup and a plate can easily cost 100€. Now is it too early to write a letter to Santa Claus?
