Vintage Snip of the Week: Frilly Blouse
This gorgeous frilly blouse is not actually vintage as I assume it is from the 80s. I found it from Huuto.net, and I couldn’t believe I was the only bidder. This blouse cost me a mere 3 euro which is dirt cheep considering that the blouse is in mint condition. Notice the beautiful button fastening on shoulders and feminine collar. The blouse has also a slightly puffy sleeves with frilly cuffs. Very gothic chic!
EDIT: And the bow. It’s actually a men’s bow tie. Works brilliantly as a hair band.

Ah, what a lovely blouse! And wow, using a bow tie as a hair band is a great idea! :)
Well, I saw the listing (I browse huuto.net rather religiously) and loved the blouse, but thought it was screaming someone else’s name… Turns out the name was Sanna :)
Gotta try the bow idea!
Olen omassa pukeutumisessani aina vähän kammonnut tuollaisia kauluksia, mutta näyttää siltä, että niitä voi kantaa myös tyylikkäästi. :)
Tuo rusetti-idea on muuten aika vänskä, täytyykin laittaa korvan taakse!

Laura: Itse asiassa minäkin olen ollut hieman varuillani korkeiden kaulusten kanssa. Pidän jollakin kierolla tavalla niiden viktoriaanisesta hengestä, mutta kaulaa myötäilevä tiukkuus ahdistaa ihan kirjaimellisesti. Mutta tässä paitiksessa on satavarmasti taikaa mukana, sillä se on höyhenen kevyt päällä, eikä se kurista.
Miesten mirrejä löytyy muuten pilvin pimein ja vain muutamalla kymmenellä sentillä. Suosittelen!

This look reminds me of one of my friend’s style…and naturally I adore her style, and this too! And I want to try out the bow-tie thing, why hasn’t it crossed my mind before?
I was thinking the exact same thing: Why on earth I didn’t think bow ties as legitimate accessories before! They’re great, and they do the trick.
