Vintage Bag

This leather bag used to belong to my granny. It has been in frequent use but it’s still as good as new. I can’t help thinking of my granny when I stroll around the town carrying my tiny essentials inside this bag. The idea of having something my granny loved to bits makes me extremely happy, and I feel connected with my roots and my family’s history.

Beautiful bag! Yes, that’s great about inherited stuff. They carry so much history with them.
Such a beautiful bag! Grannies usually have some amazing treasures, but that’s amazing!
i understand that feelng, when i wear my mons old clothes from the 50s or a old silverring my granny used to have it adds something more to feel of wearing the clothes. i love that.
and that handbag was a thing of beauty!
I really, really like. I have my mom’s old green clutch from I think the 1980s. She bought it in Italy and it’s awesome. I use it everyday.
I know what you’re talking about.
I couldn’t agree more about the feeling of knowing your roots etc. My granny doesn’t have any “old” bags, though. She’s still quite young (she’ll be 60 next month). ;) But I’ve gotten some brooches from her – or from my grandpa’s mom – and when wearing them, I really feel it in my heart.
Great bag anyway!
pretty bag! how nice that it was your granny’s. I love using my grandma’s accessories!
Love the bag and completely understand what your talking about with your family roots. A few months ago, with the passing of my grandfather, we had helped clean out his home and storage. We found so many different items (clothes, medals, swords, etc) that it really put me in touch with my families history. We found some amazing items.
