The House of Eliott

Today I was just chilling and indulging myself in quality television. The House of Eliott was indeed the television show that introduced me to the world of style and fashion back in the early 90s.
This BBC’s classic costume drama tells a story of two sisters, Beatrice and Evangeline, whose father dies and they discover that not only has he left them without a penny, he has fathered an illegitimate son! Evie is a talented fashion designer and Bea has an eye for business, and soon the sisters’ home-made outfits are attracting attention.
I was extremely happy to find out that Amazon has a great range of The House of Eliott products. Time to get inspired by those bob cuts, flappers and jazz, my friends!

Eek, I used to be OBSESSED with House of Elliott when I was about… 12, 13?!! We used to tape it with my mom and watch it religiously. Ahh, I’ve been wanting to rewatch it so many times during the years, but never actually had the wits to check if it’s available on dvd (DUH)... And now I see it’s less than 30 € at play.com!
Ahh, NEED to get it now… What a great mothers day gift idea, even! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS POST!!
I used to watch this with my mom back in the days. :) She was completely hooked on The House of Eliott and I liked it too. :) What a nostalgic feeling it was, when I saw a few episodes again in Belgium. Just lovely!
