Super Saturday

Today morning my significant other woke me up saying that we should take a nice trip to the nature. We made some apple cinnamon tea to the flask, packed our bag full of goodies and drove outside the town to the place called Haralanharju.

There used to be a beautiful wooden sightseeing tower at Haralanharju, but some local loony burned it to the ground one year ago. I’ve read that a local people’s association is going to build a new tower later this year so I expect Haralanharju to turn a busy place in the coming days. Today, however, we had a chance to enjoy tranquility as there were no other backpackers at sight.

Me and my man love humble little trips to the nature. We are not any hikers per se (well, my today’s outfit, vintage dress and Oxford shoes, kinda proves that!) but we love to explore beautiful landscapes and get out of the town every so often.

Today we had our first picnic this year, and we really enjoyed gorgeous sunlight, warm weather, nature sounds and amazing lake scenery over the rocky hill.

I was amazed that there was already a full-blown army of creepy-crawlies out and about. I made the acquaintance of lovely Lee-Ann the Ladybug and she seemed to enjoy skittering around my fingers.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able take any photos of butterflies as they were way too interested in chasing each other rather than posing for me. But ladybugs are as lovely as butterflies, and their polka dotted dresses are always in fashion.

Oh, I just love Haralanharju! I used to live in Olkahinen, quite near the place and make bike trips there. Did not know, though, that wooden tower has been burned down. It is grazy how many idiots there are – it was such a lovely tower!

    Wonderful pictures!
    Haralanharju looks beautiful.

I wish I could get a better view of your pretty dress, though. :)

Oh my God, how I miss such nature! As a child I lived in the area that’s called “a land of one thousand lakes” (the northern part of Poland) and I often played in a forest or by a lake… I like big cities very much but if i could have a real forest with a lake behind my house I wouldn’t complain :)
    You look beautiful :)
