Impossible Dream?

Me and my significant other have a dream. We want to buy our own flat in the near future. The reason behind this very ‘grown-up’ decision is that we are quite done with our nomadic ways and we want to settle down (finally – that is what out parents would say!). Anyways, we had plans to move abroad this year but the more realistic that option came for us the more hesitant we got for our great surprise. Eventually we had to admit that this is the place we belong and that there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be rooted somewhere even if the city itself is nothing like Prague or Paris.
We have been looking for our own apartment since the beginning of this year. I know we have set our bar quite high and I don’t expect us to find the flat we are looking for anyhow quick. I also know that the flat we have in mind costs us dearly but we are willing to pinch pennies from something less important. This apparently means squirreling all those shoes is so dunzo for me but I’m willing to go that extra mile for our own nest.
We are currently looking for a flat that is from early 20th century. Our home of dreams should have at least 70 square meters, ideal room hight would be over 3 meters and it should be located somewhere near the city center. Modern kitchen, dark hardwood floors and large bathroom are definite advantages.
Next weekend we have not one but three viewings and all of these flats somewhat match with our requirements. Needless to say, I’m very excited and I can’t wait to see what kind of flats are out there. And yea, scanning through dozens of images of cool 1950’s inspired designs doesn’t really calm down those butterflies in my stomach.
