19 Weeks To Go

Stanley Donwood is probably best known for his close association with Radiohead, having created all their album and poster artwork since 1994. Donwood’s most recent exhibition, London Views, is a series of fourteen woodcut-style prints of various London landmarks being destroyed by fire and flood. These prints are also used as the cover and insert art for Thom Yorke’s solo album, The Eraser.

Sorry, tulen tänne “häiriköimään”.. ;) Laitoin sulle sähköpostia, ajattelin vaan ilmottaa koska olen huomannut että sähköpostieni perillemeno kestää joskus useita päiviä.. =/ Ihan vaan ettet ihmettele jos kestää.. Tosin, mailini sisältö on lähinnä se, että onnistuin vahingossa poistamaan sinulta tulleen sähköpostin roskapostien mukana.. =/ Mahtaako sulla olla vielä kopiota siitä..?
Eihän tämä ole häiriöksi millään muotoa. Laitoin sulle juuri kopsukan matkaan. :)
pretty! i want to buy art and prints and things but alas, no money. i love your blog!
Thanks for leaving a comment! I love contemporary art and I try to save some money in order to buy a piece or two. Currently I’m very much into prints and photography but I wouldn’t mind purchasing a piece of oil on canvas if a perfect one turns up.
That’s so cool! I went to the site and really like the Gold St. Pauls and the Pacific Coast.
That image is wonderful. I’m always impressed by people who make woodblock prints, its a difficult medium; I can’t really wrap my mind around carving out the reverse of what I want to see!
Bigglassesgirl: And did you visit Donwood’s Library? Pretty weird stuff, huh?!
The Clothes Horse: Tell me about it! I once had a chance to make a woodcut print and it was pretty damn hard.
